  • FABULUS CAR FOR THE MONEY - 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid
    By -

Beautiful roomy passenger car inside. Trunk space is limited. Faster than my last Accord. Tank of gas cost like $25, which will last 675 miles. I estimate yearly cost of gas like $500. I recommend get extended warrantee. Plan to drive for 6 years at cost of like $3000 plus tires, oil change, and insurance. Save you lots of $ compared to many luxury or near luxury cars, yet looks just as good. No problems with car at all. In 20 degree weather the mpg is like 37. In 108 degree the mpg is 39. In 78 degree weather the mpg is 45

  • Honda over states gas mileage to sell this car - 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid

I have owned this car for 3 months and driven 5000 miles, both highway and city, in good weather. I have never reset trip B since I purchased car, the computer gas mileage for the 5000 miles on trip B is only 38.2mpg, also have never gotten over 38 mpg when monitoring at each fill up, in fact mpg is as low as 35 mpg. We have the economy button on and drive very conservatively, still only 38 mpg. Far from the 50 mpg city and 47 mpg overall. Obviously they are not being honest with their customers and they know it, Im sure Im only one of many that have complained to them. Had I known this, I would have just purchased a non hybrid Honda Accord, which would probably not be far off on mpg Im actually getting with the hybrid. Also when accelerating on any type of grade under 40 mph, the engine revs and the feeling is like a slipping transmission or clutch.

  • Wont buy again - 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid

The car has had nothing but issues since I purchased it. First, the text message read option in the display doesnt work. Ive tried with both Android phone and iPhones. Secondly, bluetooth and Pandora dont always connect and it takes several tries to it to pair. Sometimes the radio display even freezes to the point where you need to actually turn off the car to reset it (turning off the radio doesnt fix the issue). Then theres the cheapness of the undercarriage in which the splash guard has fallen off during normal highway driving conditions twice now.

  • Dont believe the Honda advertised mileage. - 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid

The advertised mileage is a joke. Have never hit 45 mp under any circumstances. I bought the car because of the advertised mileage. Should have bought a 4 cylinder gasoline engine and saved the difference in cost.

  • My MPG Experience - 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid
    By -

I purchased a 2015 Accord Hybrid EX-L in January 2015. Overall, I have been very pleased with my purchase to date. Foremost is the great gas mileage. What I have observed as weather has warmed, my gas mileage has improved. I commute mostly interstate for 17 miles one way. This past week I have been averaging closer to 60 MPG every trip. Lowest being 57.4, highest being 62.1 MPG. I have observed setting the cruise control helps (around 60 mph). In cooler months, averages were upper 40s to low 50s mpg. Notably, my mileage is pretty close to my daughters new Prius. The Accord, however is a much larger, handsome, comfortable and overall impressive car.

  • Great MPG... Horrible ride (Surging & Pausing) - 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid
    By -

I bought the new 2015 Accord Hybrid for its fuel economy, and it that aspect of the car does not disappoint. However, I was unaware of just how disappointingly choppy the cars ride would be when the its software switches between electric engine and gas engine... especially when driving faster than 40 MPH at constant speed. I failed to realize this during the original test drive because I only drove it on the freeway for about one mile (and in heavy afternoon traffic). In short, (whether using cruise control or not) the 2015 Accord Hybrid will intermittently pause and then surge whenever the electric engine disengages from action at speeds north of 35-40 MPH. This is both annoying and disconcerting since it results in a choppy ride. I took my new Accord Hybrid to the dealer service folks twice for this problem. The first time, I was told to stop using the ECON mode if I wanted a smoother ride. The second time, I insisted on speaking with the service tech. Heres the exact verbiage from the service ticket: "NFP test drove the vehicle and verified customers concern. Took snap shots during the event of the PGM-FI system... etc.. After review of all the snap shot data was sent it was determined that it is the normal operation of this vehicle." Thats a pretty poor response from Honda. Ive always be partial to Honda products... but with the Accord Hybrid: Let the buyer beware.

  • Some great features and some that need a little work - 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid

I have owned my 2015 Accord Hybrid Touring for about 4 months now. It is a beautiful car from the outside and I have received loads of compliments from friends and neighbors. The interior is also nice looking and several friends love riding along with me in it. Honda hasnt done much yet to provide any videos explaining the numerous advanced features of the car and I know that I would find that helpful. From reading others reviews, I can tell that many owners dont understand how the drive train works. For example, it is an electrically powered car until about 45mph at which point, the direct lockup transmission connects the gas powered engine to drive the front wheels.

  • Disappointed - 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid
    By -

This was the first car purchase that I have ever read the reviews on, researched through the internet re: hybrids and electric cars. Decided on a hybrid because of short drive/charge distances on the all electrics. Went with the Honda Accord Hybrid based on review from this site and several other sites. I have never been more disappointed in a car purchase than I have this one. It is miserable to ride in, sort of like sitting on bleachers with a towel under me. The transmission seems to gasp when changing gears, although the drive remains smooth.

  • Great Car -- but Insurance costs are Insane! - 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid
    By -

-==Love the 2015 Accord Hybrid -- drives like a non-hybrid -- which is great praise. You see the brakes throwing energy into the battery, see it turn off the engine and at times switch to battery-only mode. The ride, quietness, vault-like feel wonderful. Acceleration and handling surprising for what is a high MPG car. But ... Got the bill from Allstate today - $1,200 more per year to go from a 2011 V6 Accord to the Accord Hybrid. The purchase price was within a few dollars between the two cars -- Im paying Ferrari Station Wagon prices for an economical car?? OK, buy it if you are a green enthusiast, but ANY savings you expect from gas purchase is gone with the insurance.
